short little summary for bones’ plant verse because i’m at work:

divergence from the event of the cave-in. in turn, the cave-in happened further into the tunnels; when izan and the crew accidentally burrowed into the city’s underground PLANT storage that had been used to power the consumptions of solely the richer citizens of their city.

the storage caved in not long after. the PLANT, smaller than most, and stored in a container that could not hold under the pressure, was saved by izan’s quick thinking. stored in a mineral containment vessel that, in turn, shielded izan from death. from that point on— in the boundary between death and life, izan and the plant connected. neither one could survive without the other. literally. as long as the plant (named ursa) lives, so too does izan; and the same for ursa, as izan survives. abandoning his duties at the mines, izan has continued to survive with ursa for the past 11 years on the run. carrying the plant on their back, steadily changing and shifting from the plant’s otherworldly form attaching to their own.

izan in this verse has a slightly younger appearance, looking to be in their early twenties rather than late; with long, long black hair that falls to their thighs— constantly growing, enough that the effort to cut it has stopped. their connection to ursa has given them limited access to ursa’s angel arm, which manifests as small marble-shaped molecular concessions. often used as flash bangs, smoke bombs, or, for the unfortunate, explosives. in general, plant! verse izan is far more inclined towards violence to protect ursa and themselves— and has earned their name not for their pursuit to gather bones, but for what they leave behind of the less fortunate.

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game

Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter. 

Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.

The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge. 

And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).

And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game. 

Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.

After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely). 

Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

So it turns out Danny and Billy share a realms guardian. Not like they knew that until they literally got scruffed and taken through a portal- apparently realms paperwork can take years or even centuries so they actually got really lucky with how much their guardian was pushing. 

Apparently the primordial being of Space and the primordial being of Storm is one and the same and has been… well not throwing a fit but also yes throwing a fit at the Observants and other paperwork beings of the Zone. 

So it’s not the worst kidnapping either of them have gone through, apparently they’re getting a checkup and a crash course in realms stuff?? Oh god what do you mean there’s the equivalent of galas in the Zone and they have to go to them??? Sam/Tim help them! 

On the bright sides, way less attacks on Amity now that a primordial being that literally shuffles around entire galaxies just because is hanging around to teach him how to do things. And when Billy gets found out to be ten he can cheerfully say he has permission from his guardian. The one literally letting them get through space so quickly just because they think the league is neat. In an idle wow yep kiddo that is a funky looking cat we aren’t taking home yep, way.

Big shout-out to the ocs and lore that depicts physical/appearance changes due to high concentration and uses of magic btw that shit is so cool. Whether your wizard's hair turns blue or straight up grows an extra arm due to the excessive amount of powerful magic they use everyday I eat that shit up. Bonus points if it's a rare/newly discovered condition or if your wizard is just straight up unrecognizable from arc 1 to arc 4. Bonus bonus points if the wizard gains a disability from it and has to learn to adapt to their new condition

I’ve been lurking in the medblr corner of tumblr for a little while now, and it hit me this morning that it would be really funny if Pharma were on tumblr.

Medblr things Pharma would do:

post the stupid and funny things he hears from colleagues and patients

take pictures of some of his notes and either post them with 0 context, or a massive wall of text

complain about equipment that doesn’t work properly and the general incompetence of his staff

participate in things like the Antibiotic Tournament (Cybertronian OR human because he’s Just Like That), and argue with people in the reblogs of the polls

As a bonus, the humans who come across his very Cybertronian medblr think it’s a joke blog because what the hell is a spark chamber or a femoral energon line?

It doesn’t take them long to figure out it’s some weirdo playing doctor with their imaginary robot patients and some really convincing words.

Surely, it’s not a giant alien robot medic. That’s crazy.

Also, his name is literally “Pharma.” Talk about uncreative.
